My shop went from 100 sales to 300 in two months just by removing all the extras and niching. I feel like my social media makes so much more sense and message is a bit clearer. Thank

Out of curiosity, how does this apply to POD stores? Like, is it enough for all your POD products to have a similar theme? Or is it necessary to have designs on a theme AND a defined set of products to sell them on?

I realize this comment is super late, but maybe someone can answer this. Using her example in the beginning of the video, I get the concept that mugs are an "industry", shirts are an "industry", and that you need to have a niche, a target audience for your shop. But isn't jewelry an "industry"? If a shop sells only jewelry, in the example she used, a shop that sells silver jewelry, what exactly is the niche? Is the niche silver jewelry (which is an "industry")? Who is the specific target audience? Is it moms, teachers, nurses etc.? The target audience is not really specific. Just when I think I get it . . . I don't.

Currently I sell crochet hats, scarves, fingerless gloves, afghans, kitchen towels with crotched toppers, and dishcloths. I tried one of a kind clothing items like cardigans, but those didn't sell well. Most of my stuff has been one of a kind, but I am going away from OAK to items I can easily replicate. Which is sad because I love the creativity of making something unique. But unique does not sell well. 🤷‍♀️

I have been doing SO much better since I chose my niche. It helps that it is something I am passionate about. :)

I sell digital products and handmade jewelry and I like that. I don’t niche down

Just for clarification, is it ok to sell a lot of different products so long as the niche is consistent and cohesive?

I have a new digital product shop but haven't yet decided what I want to niche down to. At the moment I'm just testing different niches. What should I do if I decide on a particular niche - should I remove unrelated products? Or should I start another shop and add them to that? Is it bad for a shops quality score to remove lots of products?

Just started a shop and I cant really find an answer to this question. So I figured to ask you since youre the most seasoned and you have the best videos. Watermarking mockups/photos to keep people from stealing pictures? I cant really find any answers since SOME do it SOME dont, but I read the info on Etsy and they dont recommend it. Suggestions? I already have 80 something listings and now im like do I really have to go back and watermark all images? Is it worth the time?

The thing that's frustrating to me is that so many Etsy gurus are pushing what they call a "general store" when it comes to print on demand. I understand the logic that if you have hundreds of listing you are more likely to have an opportunity to be seen. They have also mentioned that most people don't even go to the actual shop's page. With your info knowledge from erank do you think any of that makes sense? I'd love your input.

Could a single small/medium niche make a successful Etsy shop?

I wasn't quite sure how "niche" was defined on Etsy, until now.

I sell hand made wood crafts. In the Etsy universe, is that a niche? One of the types of items I make are feeders for birds and squirrels. From your explanation, that would be a niche.

I understand the definition of "niche". I just wasn't sure how it was applied in the Etsy world. Now I do. Thank.

How much is the course? You don't mention that anywhere that I can see in your video or marketing material. It would be nice to know what budget is required.

Hey Starla, quick question if you have a moment please.. On international postage, can i have a variation on the shipping cost. EG selling art prints charging £7 for international postage but i have a variation option for them as framed, so I need that shipping cost to be £15 - £20. please let me know if this is possible or how i could make this work. Thanks so much. I love all your videos by the way.

Ahh, currently all I sell is shirts and sweatshirts but it’s not working out that well but I don’t wanna rebrand completely. I kinda wanna start adding homely stuff too such as pillows or blankets but not sure if it would look too out of place. I haven’t even had my shop for a year yet so I’m still in the experimental phase and I don’t wanna have a bunch of shops for different niches. I just don’t know what to do anymore lol

This is so hard to do 😔 The whole point of my store was to free my creativity and make a lot of stuff 😅
I sell Jesmonite home decor. But I have lots of molds, so lots of products. Also many designs- monochromatic, marble design, terrazzo design...
I am thinking about opening a new shop being more niche (for example selling just one design-marble or terrazzo) and leaving this one for my creative side 😁

Do you think that's the best thing to do? Or is Jesmonite home decor niche enough?😮

For items like wax bars I have had buyers tell me to make multiple listings vs one listing with all the scents; but I don’t think I can test that theory?! Any help anyone?

The market is also saturated with Gurus that want to sell us $1000 dollar courses to learn how to sell Print on demand or Niches in Etsy etc. They also have all kinds of affiliate products to tell us to use which also lines pockets, If your course tells us all the secrets, why aren't you selling instead of teaching,
