As a catholic it is nice to see a respectful Protestant. Usually Protestants YouTubers will just dog on Catholicism saying it’s paganism and evil, but you treat it with respect. Thank you.

Your non-judgmental take on things is always so refreshing.

It was providence when we discovered this church. So beautiful and the choir was awesome too. It was a big church and it was full. It gave me joy attending the Mass that day that the people of God are together to worship our Lord.

Thanks man, you'll get there. I pray that one day, you can be one of us calling her "Momma", and if you don't make it there, hope to see you in the eternal flipside. I won't argue with ya because you were so courteous and I love your open mind. God bless you, brother.

Its good to see a Protestant showing appreciation and respect for Catholics . At the end of the day we both follow Jesus. There is beauty in both

Hey bud, love the video! Mary's status as Queen of Heaven/the Universe is based on the Jewish monarchy, wherein the mother of the king, and not his wife, was the Queen of Israel. Mary as mother of King Jesus becomes Queen of the kingdom.

As a Catholic Christian, I LOVE your approach to the way you look at things and not just slandering and bashing us like we see a lot of Protestants do. Thank you so much for that it truly is refreshing and heart warming. 🙏❤️

Catholic here from Orlando. Mary Queen of the Universe was a mission church started to serve the faithful Catholics visiting Orlando going to disney. The Church is just a few miles from disney property. In 2009 it was declared a minor basilica by Pope Benedict XVI. It is not a parish Church and does not function as a parish Church. It is for pilgrims. The thing I love the most is they have confessions every day of the week.

I really appreciate your respectfulness to the Catholic Church. I hope one day we can all learn to understand each other more fully.

As a Catholic from the Jacksonville area, I would always stop by the church when I’m in Orlando. Just to mention it is a Marian shrine and has recently been designated as a Minor Basilica. Thank you, sir, for treating our faith with respect. I hope other non-Catholics will do the same.

Her Queenship is rooted also in the ancient Jewish custom of the "Gebirah" (גְּבִירָה) or "Great Lady/Queen Mother" during the dynastic period. For them, the queen was not the wife of the king, but his mother. Notice how neither Michal nor Bathsheba are referred to as queens during their time married to King David. This title appears only 6 times in the OT, 5 of which are in the context of Israel's royal lineages:
1 Kings 15:13, 2 Kings 10:13, 2 Chronicles 15:16, Jeremiah 13:18 & 29:2
The first passage shows this title being *removed* from King Asa's mother for constructing an idol. She *was* the Gebirah of Judah before this, however. It was so significant of a title, Asa formally had it stripped from her. Another major example is in 1 Kings 2:19-20 where Bathsheba meets with King Solomon, her son. We see that *he* bows down to *her* and has a throne brought in for her next to his. English translations might call this just a "seat" next to his "throne" but both the Hebrew and the Greek use the same word for her seat as they do for Solomon's seat in the same passage, a seat of honor; a throne. She is not only honored by Solomon, but she is to be honored by all Israel.
Now when we apply this to Jesus and Mary, we identify Jesus as the Divine King of the Universe, the Messianic king that reestablishes the House of David forever. Along with that, the Jewish customary title of the Gebirah is also applied then to Mary, who becomes Queen of the Universe (though *not* Divine by any means). She is Queen only insofar as Jesus is the Divine King. She is not equal to Jesus, but ought to be held in honor just as Jesus honored her. And as Mary herself declared in Luke 1:48, all generations will call her *blessed* (μακαρίζω), literally meaning to enjoy the benefits and graces given from God Himself directly. This is why we call her the Blessed Mother, because she declared that we all would throughout all generations.

Matt, your charity and infectious goodwill towards Catholics is a healing grace. You are living proof that God is working to heal the rift that occured at the reformation. I still believe that God can and will make us whole again and all true Christians shall be united and will set the world on fire with love of Christ.

Mary Our Queen and Mother hold my/my family's hands and draw us and our concerns to DEAR JESUS YOUR SON. Amen

The blessed mother is referenced 16 times in the Bible. From Genesis to revelations! She is typically shown standing on a moon. Just like the moon she reflects the light of the sun (son). She helps bring us to Christ! She is a very special person and God picked her above everyone to bring Christ into this world! She is venerated in the Catholic Church!

It really is a beautiful church located near Disney in Orlando. We visited it December 2022. The feel inside is airy, lots of light coming in from the beautiful stained glass windows and the front is beautifully landscaped with palm trees, water features and lots of areas to sit down while waiting for mass to start.

This is a beautiful Church on Orlando. Went to mass there when we were visiting from Canada and the congregation was so welcoming! Definitely a great church when visiting Orlando.

For me, it’s the wedding at Cana that brings mary into perfect focus. Most people take that passage as just the first miracle of Jesus
