Storyline

Stephen A should get an Oscar for playing Stephen A so well. No one could have executed that roll as good as he did. When he said “oh hell yes” I felt it in my soul and it gave me chills cause I actually felt like I was listening to Stephen A on first take.

Although never explicitly mentioned, I think that the characterization of Adonis Creed is heavily influenced by Oscar Dela Hoya. Oscar not only became a successful Champion, he also was a successful promoter helping the careers of many up-and-coming fighters. Like Oscar, he was called out a lot for being a sellout. Most notably Fernando Vargas who at several times pointed out that Oscar was a pussy, that he is a disgrace to Latino fighters. He was dapper all the time, and did not have the swagger of a Mexican fighter. Well Oscar did shut up Vargas
