Fitbit Charge 4 Sleep Mode (How to Set Up)

Follow along as I show you how to set up Fitbit Charge 4 Sleep Mode, including how to turn it on or off via the Settings App or the Quick Settings shortcut, how to enable or disable the Sleep Mode Schedule, and how to customize the start and end times of the Sleep Interval.

The Fitbit Charge 4 Sleep Mode is a very useful setting that allows you to set a schedule (or manually enable the setting) that will automatically do three things:
1 – Set the screen brightness to dim
2 – Enable Do Not Disturb Mode (essentially temporarily disability notifications on the Charge 4)
3 – Disables the Screen Wake functionality so that the display will only show when the side button is pressed or the screen is double tapped (this is great if you tend to toss and turn at night, otherwise your bright screen will tend to turn on and may disrupt you or a potential partner's sleep)

Hi, thank you for all the usefull instructions. I have a question.... My fitbit charge 4 doesn't give me the notification that its time to go to bed, my phone does, with a push-message. Yes, i turned on the option on the dashboard to give me a vibration/message on the fitbit also, but never happens. And no i have nog 'do nöt desturb-scedule running' .... Maybe you know the solution? Please post it Here, kind regards👍👋👋

I don't get it, mine doesn't say sleep mode? It has 'notifications during sleep' on or off and it has do not disturb, but nothing that actually says sleep mode and I don't see a way to disable the watch from coming on when I move :/

I can't change the sleep mode period. I am following your directions, and click on the new times I want but it doesn't change.

My sleep mode kept turning on. I set up a sleep schedule, hopefully this will fix my problem.

Hello, I have a question for you.
In your Setup Video, your charge 4 had exactly the same menu as mine and then out of a sudden your watch had menu-points like the sleep mode.
How did you unlock it?

Thanks for video. The video does not explain the purpose of sleep mode as far what it does and does not do. Is it just a power saving mode or does it have other functionality.

My fitbit charge 4 doesnt have sleep mode in the display like it shows on your video. I bought it just a few days back. its updated as well. Do i need to track my sleep manually by creating a log??

Thank you. You should be on the payroll. Charge 4 may be many things but intuitive it isn’t, not to my old brain at least.

I wore my new Fitbit Charge 4 to bed, exciting that it'll auotmatically track my sleep. I woke up to find no results at all. Am I supposed to set this up first then?

I want the clock face visible during sleep mode so I can see the time. Is there a way to do that?

I know that being in sleep mode will prevent notifications and "screen wake", but will it also prevent alarms (as in the alarms I can set within the fitbit itself)? I ask because I use a fitbit alarm to silently wake myself in the early morning hours (2-3 AM) to use the bathroom (which, long story short, helps me get a better overall night's sleep). Or do I need to just abandon using sleep mode if I want those alarms to continue to function?

Sleep mode on, schedule off, moon and stars on, but no sleep tracking! What's wrong?
