As a guy who actually uses git for software dev, i gotta say you made this wayyy simpler than how every other video represented it. Everything else was an over-engineered 10+ minute mess. Great call with using a personal access token, even made setup with my iPad that much more simple (after installing the iSH terminal app and installing git through it). Anyways big thanks bro!

excellent tutorial. Just an update. Now the plugin is just called git in the community plugins.

Thanks, realised none of my data was backed up before, so this really helped! Extra tip if it's not working for you: turn off your antivirus software! I was stuck not being able to clone the repo until I tried that :)

Hi, why do you need to fork that specific repo, instead of creating new one?
What if i paste pictures to obsidian vaoult what shoud i do with them?

How do you handle syncing multiple devices with git? I have Obsidian installed on 2 personal computers and 1 work laptop, for example.

Thank you so much brother! Nearly pulled my hair out trying to get this plugin to work.

Thanks for the video but is there a way to 1. backup the entire vault instead of a lone folder, and 2. Does this sync both the phone and the computer, or does it work as a backup only?

How do you retrieve notes from git into obsidian? Like, if I loose a note. How do I download it form git and import it into obsidian?

My guy why is your video so underrated, this made it so simple, I was using sourcetree as my source control software to set up my repository for this. You made it stupid simple. Thanks a lot much appreciated.
