Does any of this have to do with the glacial isostatic adjustment? I read a paper on this a few years back where it explained how the earths crust is still rising up from when the weight of the glaciers that were on it. I know in Toronto when they build tall buildings with deep basements they have to do certain things to the rock because of this rebounding. This same article also explained the area around the Chesapeake Bay Area is supposed to sink about 6 inches in the next 100 years. I’m sure someone will attribute this to the oceans rising from more water when it actually just the earth settling. The area around Hudson and James Bay is rising about 3 feet in 100 years. I wonder what effect this has on ocean levels.
