Animal Crossing: New Leaf - First Time Resetti

He only shows up once if you don't build the Reset Surveillance Center. All three choices edited in.

I remember the first time Resetti appeared. I wasn't expecting it, he popped out and I was like: 'Whoa, Resetti!'
Apparently I didn't save my game one time, which I don't remember doing. I decided to build him a new RSC, and once it was build, he came to my house to thank me. Pretty sweet. I now save every time, because one time I accidently removed the game card, causing the game to shut off without saving. Next time I played, he popped up and I got jumpscared. But I still think it's nice to have Resetti around to remind you to save your games.

You know a game is awesome when the developpers took the time and effort to make a character who's only point is to scream at you when you don't save.

Aww... Poor Mr. Resetti! I can't believe I'm saying this, but when this happened when I first played Animal Crossing New Leaf, I actually felt a little bad for him. He only yells at you because he's doing his job.

Y'know, I never considered Resetti as a meta message to the players. Animal Crossing is very easy to exploit and you aren't going to experience it the same way if you time travel, duplicate, and just don't have hard times with villagers you don't want to have. It is much more rewarding to have the journey rather than the destination.

I remember when I played the game cube version I had just been in an accident and after the accident every loud noise made me jump out of my chair and so everytime the clock would ding another hour I would have to turn my tv down and every time I forgot to save I forgot about resetti and my tv was really loud and he jumped out from his hole giving me a mini heart attack. Ah good times

I was on a road trip several states away. We were coming back, and I didn't realize how low my battery was, until it started to blink.

I saved and continued, though, because we were in our driveway, and as soon as it completed, like RIGHT after they told me my save was complete, the battery died.

I saw Resetti, but was quite shocked when I was actually able to tell him the legit reason, which was that my batteries died... I was impressed with Nintendo about that detail.

But then, when I hit the A Button, I expected an ear full of ANGRY MOLE RANTING!

Instead, he was a LOT more mellow about it... which actually made me feel even MORE unnerved!

"What the hell?! Resetti, you're not acting like yourself! PUNISH ME, DAMMIT! T-T"

I'm gonna miss resetti. He may have been the animal crossing equivalent of the rookie cop that gets way too excited over a parking ticket, but he had heart.
