"You all do the math, I'm just going to squat"

This man completely tamed his mind. He was in absolute control.

Tom is a legend!!! I'm glad he's getting a lot of coverage now. One of the most ignored and underrated bodybuilders. He has the most iconic leg development and vast knowledge on how to develop them. Amazing!

Forget Tom's freakish out of proportion thighs. Where Tom shines is in the fact that he has not totally worn his knees out - that is what is truly remarkable!

405 for 50, that would make his estimated max about 1000lbs💀

That’s exactly my approach to any set and body part. All this time I thought I was crazy.

What I do is count to half each time. So for a set of 50, count to 25, then 13, then 6, 3, 2 and 1.

That's not anabolic that's aerobic😂

Incredible psychological trick! I’ve done then when doing high repetition for legs and abs, its a must hahaha! Your mind will always protect you, given that you practice good technique, you can reach your rep goals! 🙌🦅🇵🇸

I just did 135 for 51 yesterday and now that I think about it, 405 for 50 is more impressive than 525 for 23

I once did a "Tom Platz". I wanted to start my training and warm up with the leg press mashine..but I got greedy..so I put on all weights and tried as many reps as I could (50+). Afterwards I threw up and went home. What a day 🙄
It was the only time I ever threw up during warm up 🤡

I always break my sets into sets of 5 when they are too long

Just a light 405 for 50. Hahaha I can barely do 135 for 50

When I don't count my reps. My sets are technically sound.

i do the same

i count in 5 reps and always at least do sets of 10 reps and if I go to 15 reps I count 5 times 3

Time under tension. A lot of tension bc that was no easy weight. To make it happen you resort to all sorts of mind tricks. Arnold did this too. Not the exact same trick but same concept. This is why great champions separate themselves from the pack
