As an ET... ive learned the most from the IC men. The most well-rounded electrical rate in the navy. Nothing beats having a salty IC1 to show you the ropes. Also super undermanned and underappreciated. Proud to call them my sister rate. Everyone knows CE stands for the Combat Elite Division.

Does this help become a electrician I'n the civilian world after you get out the navy as a ic?I leave for bootcamp on Dec 17 I'm going in for ic. I hear it helps become a electrician but idk

From a past or current IC, can anyone answer honestly, is it hard to advance as an IC, I'll be join as an e-3, and I've wanted to the navy since freshman year, I know IC schooling has A LOT to do with math, which I'm not terrible at but it wasn't always my best subject, and I'm so afraid after reading online it's hard to advance as an IC...I want to enjoy my time in the navy, I'm just afraid I got buttered up into doing the job

Good, I am an Electrician on Merchant ships most of the times in an oil tanker.
