I appreciate the little detail of the pelican behind Echo 419 being labeled B-022, for Bravo 22; the pelican that gets shot down mid mission after the security station is deactivated. They're the ones who come on comms saying, "Mayday, mayday, this Bravo 22 taking enemy fire! I repeat, we are taking enemy fire and are losing altitude."

How is this not how the TV show was? The sense of foreboding and smooth transition into the introduction to the characters entering the scene on Pelicans is literally Triple A quality storyboarding that you'd expect from a multi-million dollar project. Yet here we have it, for free, from a single person making it for fun.

Also, I love how the Pelicans are in this scene. They actually look heavy, clean matte grey military machines. Instead of jank or just shiny they actually look like highly capable aircraft.

This is the first time I stopped to think how cool headed the marines look in the fact that they barely escaped the fall of reach, to land in an unknown ring-shaped artificial planet with the Pillar of Autumn with the legend Captain Keyes (author of the Keyes-Loop) captured by the enemy. Total badass to keep the priorities straight and the emotions in check
