The LL Bean jacket is called a boiled wool jacket. They were originally from Austria. Really warm, which is why I only get to wear mine once or twice a year here in South Texas! Happy New Year 🎉

Blue Bins in my area separate the ' types of items '. All hardback and paperback books... . 15 cents each. There are people who do nothing but books and scan book after book. That is their only interest. Hardware (non-clothing) have their own rows, 2 total. When they say " Go " after they are all in place...a roar goes up from the thrashing and tossing... pure madness.
Clothes all separate get about 9 rows of bins. In a rather moderate climate here so don't get specific ' winter weather '. Bins are filled with all kinds of cooler weather clothing now. I'm finding LOTS of Columbia brand clothing to sell. Champion, Nike, Addidas, Fila, LL. Bean, Lands End etc. Picked up a Michael Kors jacket a few weeks back. If you were digging for kids clothes for your kids someone would toss it aside because it's not what THEY were looking for. So just because the bin has gone thru... like Renee said...look anyway.

The bins are very hit and miss in my area too. By the way, your hair grew out really nice and looks especially good today. You held out from cutting it and it paid off.😊

The LL Bean is a boiled wool jacket. They were very popular in the 1980s. They somewhat lean "German" in style - can be worn with dirdinal skirts or lederhosen.

A couple good finds and sounds like you managed to have fun with it regardless (Puppets & corn!). Would be too much anxiety for me. People gripe about one-handed digging? Everyone should have such problems! LL Bean cardigans were all the rage when I was at school in New England in the 80s. The really popular ones were navy blue with small white snowflakes (I guess that's what they were). They were extremely warm & I couldn't wear mine often (I got overheated & wool gives me the willies). I would think anything LL Bean would sell well. Nasty, cold, sometimes heavy rain here today. Are you getting snow? Have a great Saturday afternoon & weekend!

The L L Bean item looks like a boiled wool sweater? May bring $25-$50.

An hour ten is my distance to a bin. Is too much for a regular tripping

Hey Renee, I'll bet your frog aficionado friend would really dig that 🐸 squirtgun. P.S. there's a hidden pun in there from vintage advertising, see if you can spot it. 😂

09:43 Trachten? That wool with metal buttons is something I'm used to seeing coming from Austria. Maria Von Trapp had a brown jacket like that in the Sound of Music. As someone else said - boiled wool. I went to an Ill Will and a Sally today. Spent under $20 between the two of them. The high dollar item was a framed sheet of Forever stamps. Stamps for under face value? I'm on that!

"When new bins come out, it´s like a rat race !" 😃Well said, and I never would have thought that there are certain rules before you will be able to crawl through the bins. No such institution over here, just some "Soziales Kaufhaus" stores which can be compared to Goodwill. Hopefully you picked up the can of corn if it wasn´t expired, I love it ! 😉The wool jacket is called "Janker" or "Trachtenjanker" over here, for just a few bucks an absolute bargain. Hope you are feeling much better now, and have a great and relaxing weekend ! 🍵Greets from GER, U.

Thanks for the video Renee... i appreciate your time and information. I totally get the hold to aim camera thing.
From what i can tell different reqions " bin" / deals/ layout/ pricing vary from region to region. I wish other observers here would realize that.

I need to take a field trip to the bins. Mine is about 90 minutes away too. Have to make sure to at least find a good lunch spot nearby in case the pickings are slim.
