Einfach Freude pur.

I have listened to Chris Barber since 1960.
This is one of their best recordings.
Play it for your children, grandchildren .. so that this music can survive and be enjoyed forever!

I had the privilege of conducting an interview with Chris many years when he came to RAF Scampton. A real gentleman and great musician. I must say that have a great liking for his more current style with the big band what a sound.

Chris Barber at his best, How much longer can he keep going.I've seen him SO many times, and he has always given his best. He's an icon. Sadly, these greats are fading, never to be replaced. These great jazz icons, both in U.K. and the U.S.worked for years to reach their place in life. Not the one night wonders we now have in the talent shows, though I have enormous respect for Simon Cowel.

Such driving rhythms have replaced the older trad sound but that in no means degrades it, the 1957 recording of this number is equally captivating if perhaps a tad more to the taste of the older fans like myself. Chris, Pat and all of the boys throughout the years gave us something to treasure they will never be forgotten.
