Descript’s New Editor Layout (what is Underlord??)

Descript finally has a new editor layout! Descript always is always updating but this time it’s a pretty big deal because the new editor in Descript looks a lot different. Almost all of the editing tools you’re used to using are in a sidebar, and there’s a whole new feature Descript calls “Underlord” which is where the AI functions are housed. It’s pretty neat!

That side bar looks a little like the Canva one. Which just switched to the right in their glow up. Would be awesome if the two merged in some way

I've been recording in Quicktime, and then editing in both Descript and Capcut. I need to streamline. I'd like to do it all in Descript, but I find Descript to be a bit buggy and sometimes things just don't work. Also some of the features aren't available on my current plan. Do you only use Descript for editing? And what did you use to create your "commercial"?
