my cousin I love this it's so beautiful. I love this stitch. I have same bad news. I'm sick again I struggled to get my fever under control. it's bad but this morning it looks like it started to come down. Love this pattern. I actually used a cat 3 yarn, 4.5mm hook and made the necessary adjustments. Turned out slightly different than yours, but that's the beauty of making your own clothes. I'm currently trying again in a different color with the same hook size and cat 3 yarn (variegated this time) making slight adjustments from my first try.

This top is so cute! I hope you design a coordinating jacket in the future. I thought it would be perfect to make with a skirt that has several rows of basketweave and the ribbing at the bottom. Lion brand Mandela would also be a good economical choice. Not too expensive to make but still would turn out quite classy. I have to tell the story of my aunt who knitted a shell/skirt set back in the 1940's. She was taking classes at a yarn shop and bought a silk/linen blend fingering weight yarn for this project. Yes, she said the yarn was quite expensive. But, considering she wore it for many special events over 50+ years she got her money's worth. So, I look at these crochet projects as investments even with the cheaper yarns. I just hand wash and lay flat to dry on sweater racks.
