Wife of Weezer bandmember shot by LAPD | FOX 11 LA

Jillian Shriner, wife of Weezer bassist Scott Shriner, was shot by LAPD officers in Eagle Rock as they searched for three hit-and-run suspects in the area. Police said Shriner was armed with a gun and pointed it at officers.

We don't have all the facts yet, but to me, it sounds like one of the suspects was in and on her property, and she had every right to defend herself. The cops possibly took her for one of the suspects and shot her. I'd love to see the body cam where she allegedly pointed her gun at an officer. That makes no sense.

This sounds like she panicked and came out with a gun thinking that the suspects on the run would get into her property and keep her and her family hostages in order to negotiate with the police. Remember folks, there were 3 suspects who were running from the police in that area close to her home. One of the suspects breaks into a home nearby, gets butt-naked and starts watering plants in order to blend in and pretend to live in that house. The other 2 are still on the run. The whole neighborhood is in panic. At that point, she could've thought the 2 suspects on the run had killed 2 police officers, got into their gear and pretended to be law enforcement in order to enter her home and hold her family hostage for negotiations. We hear so many stories of criminals impersonating law enforcement, delivery drivers, postal workers, maintenance personnel, vendors and so on. In chaotic and high level stress situations, nobody knows who is who.
