Показать описание
A figure who appears as both a beautiful woman and a terrifying hag, a powerful goddess of war and a weaver of fate, a mistress of sovereignty and a harbinger of doom. She is known for her ability to shape-shift, to appear in different forms to different people, to grant blessings and curses with equal ease. Her stories are full of mystery and magic, of battles won and lost, of heroes and villains, of life and death. Who is this enigmatic figure, who embodies both light and darkness, both creation and destruction? #themorrigan #celticmythology #mythology

This was good. You almost got it. If you read the famous 'Tain (Cattle Raid of Cooley), you have to read its prequel 'Tain Bo Regama where, you would understand that there is nothing romantic about how The Morrigan feels towards Cu Chulain. To say that she was offended is wrong. Hell, she knew what his reaction was going to be. We know that because we see it in the Tain, she predicts his death or just lets him know that it's going to go south for him. The prophecy she lays out for him in the famous Tain is the exact same thing that she says in the TBR. I'm being obscure, because people should read it. It's good stuff. Irish mythology is really under appreciated. There are a lot of really interesting "characters" in Irish mythology.

I'm here bc I had a dream of her even though I've never heard of her. I lost my mother 1 year ago.

My impression was that Morrigon and Calamity were one and the same meaning.
Not one to use her powers for good in other words.
But I never read up on her either.
Glad to see that she had a good aspect also.
Now I see her as more like Coyote from Native American or Loki from Norse.
Never cross and your fine; worse you'll get is pranked

‘Ight I know I should be commenting something more substantive like the fact your narration is excellent and that Irish pronunciation is contentious even amongst those who claim mastery over the Celtic language, but goddamn does that thumbnail go hard.

…That’s it. That’s my most substantive comment. Keep on keepin’ on.

Oh form of man
Release the demon Etragon.
Batman universe Hero that was once a demon in service of the Morrigon and thanks to Merlin with some help free'd... Something like that to some dude whose name I confuse with Johna Hex.
Human normally but becomes Etragon to fight crime. I only ever saw an episode or 2 of Batman (one of the cartoons) with him in it but that awakening spell has stuck in my head ever since.
In the trilogy of books I have at home (series name I forget) containing the books; Third Magic/Forever King/Broken Sword... it takes the Arthurian legend and brings it to the 90's and early 2000's.
The Crone/Beauty/Morrigon is basically how I remember Morrigons divide. They named them more properly in the series possibly but not sure. They were going by the angle that details by our time got muddled and such.
But that version of the Holy Grail... my fave version of the grail. As well as the novelty of seeing the knights of the round using RV's and motorcycles the series is a wild ride.
Each books antagonist are among the best antagonists out there. Book 3's admittedly I am not sure who it should be considered; but I think of it as the Morrigon and not the dude I do not remember the name of. Saladin, Evil Druid and lastly Morrigon. Saladin especially left an impression in his book. Finder of the grail and imortal evil overlord lived since Ancient Africas first tribes until the modern day his entire family and every realitive was a minion of his and spread across all jobs and such as sleeper agents. The Evil Druid I understood less but point is Saladin corrupted him and for awhile he was a serial killing artist that turned people into art; from using virgin blood in his paint to petrafying people by encasing them in clay to make statues. Dude was a nut job from Merlin as Talesin days of training. Just to good.
Very glad to see more on my fave celtic deity.

They are at the between. Military people need to follow the rules and people that believe they are a military need to know they don't like them. Under them everyone is dead but as the soul everyone there is caught in memory. She puts a light down on the person she wants. The raven is a person with its attributes🙂. It's symbolic for a psychopomp.
Badb the executive was granted authority over a person's blessings and chakra system. Talks to Satan like he is a school boy.
I have the contract to release the lit. Hello darkness my old friend

Seriously, it's so easy to learn the correct pronunciation of Irish words now - and the difficulty in not doing this is that so many others will get it wrong. It's unnecessary and undermines the usefullness of the video.
