Do not use dog shedding tools DO THIS INSTEAD! You will never look at dog de-shedding tools the same way after learning the de-shedding methods I teach you in this video.
Pet grooming industry leaders and manufacturers want us to use tools such as the fulminator, coat rakes, carding knives, and other metal-edged tools to reduce dog shedding for our furry friends that shed hair. This is the Best Way to De-Shed Your Dog's Hair.
But there is something they don’t tell you about de-shedding your dog that is a game changer and way more beneficial for your pet.
Is it true that using tools.. is all there is to keep your dog's coat in check?

Yes, these tools can certainly help encourage the dead and shedding hair to release from the coat but they can also be damaging to the skin and coat if used too often or improperly as a substitute for their predecessors… the brush and the comb.
And even brushing, combing, and de-shedding are not going to cure your dog's shedding problem.

So what is the secret to de-shedding your shedding dog breed and not having to except dog hair everywhere every day as part of the package to living with a dog that sheds hair?
THIS IS THE best undercoat removal for your dog!

So I hope I can make this short
I have a “ black mouth cur “ which most people don’t know what that is anyways. I never really did this other than give her a regular bath .her shedding was just crazy and I thought I just had a super bad shedding dog . Her hair was EVERYWHERE . But I tried this method used the shampoo and conditioner at the doggy pet wash that they provide . SWEAR TO GAWD I’m so happy with the results I followed the comb through with conditioner in it and dried her with the pet vacuum she BARELY has any hair falling off of her … THANK YOU SO DAMN MUCH for this video following the steps particularly in what you did actually worked and I used a comb not a brush . HER METHOD DOES WORK

I wish my dogs were that good. For me it’s like trying to wash my car while it’s doing donuts

I’ve been grooming for 18 years and it is extremely refreshing to see another groomer using the conditioner comb method. You are also an extreme pleasure to watch and present your instructions very clearly . What a joy to watch!!❤❤❤

As a ret. groomer, I very much agree about the coat damage done by many of these recommended tools. I used to do a lot of collies (roughs), including badly neglected ones, and used a preconditioner when the coat was really bad, then normal bathing with a power shampooer with which I used the dilute shampoo to loosen the dead hair, right down to skin level. In that stage I would often tease apart matted clumps with a jet spray so that the dead coat in them could be released. As I worked I monitored to make sure the dead coat was being lifted completely away from the skin. Then came an extremely thorough rinse (I was fanatical about that) followed by a leave-in conditioner, often with a silicon slickener. Then I used a very high-velocity dryer (right in the tub at least at first, no toweling) to remove the loosened hair. To me the key was that the power shampooing and drying were in pattern like the standard line-brushing, i.e. water/air directed at a low angle, not straight at the skin, aiming toward the rear (as the coat grows), and starting at the rear and belly and moving forward and upward as the hair was loosened. (think power-washing a sidewalk, not blasting the side of a house) The most hair exploded outward in the last few minutes of drying, as the drying completed. But while I did use a comb then, it was quick and easy, picked up very little hair, and the skin looked like the beagle's above, clean, clear, pink and healthy, without untimely undercoat. For my own dogs, a quick "blow-out" in the same pattern between baths restored a fresh, clean coat and skin, to the point that baths were rarely needed. As for the tools.. those undercoat rakes etc. cut and break the hair, including the slow-cycling outer coat, so that the coat is at different lengths, is more difficult to brush/comb, and more susceptible to matting!

I appreciate that someone who sees certain grooming tools is unnecessary. I have 3 male St Bernard's the shedding is insane. I took them to the groomer, and they used some furrminator on them. My 1 boy was shedding 3 weeks longer than his siblings, and it was so bad. I came home to my wood floor being a furr floor. I'm going to order a dryer and other products and see if I can help this process of shedding. Thank you hopefully their will be more videos for someone like me with 3 wooly mammoths. ❤

I had no idea how wrong I was doing everything. I don't endorse, but this woman KNOWS WHAT SHE IS TALKING ABOUT. My dog is a double coat HYPER SHEDDER. I used these products she endorsed (not sure you need the actual products, but I just liked the smell of the shampoo and conditioner). I was impressed: There is NO HAIR coming off my dog and his hair is silky smooth. I feel so liberated from using that harsh furminator tool on him and he had flakey dry skin and hair. Now it's so nice! THANK YOU SO MUCH, I LEARNED A LOT!

The fact that you take this so serious and did all that work and teaching yourself is extremely admirable!

Professional Groomer of almost 20 years here too & I can 100% confirm that this is the only way to “De Shed”. There are no tools on the market that can compete with this process & there are no short cuts. Not only is this the best way to your dogs coat & skin being healthy but it is the most pleasurable way also for your dog. It is crucial though to dry thoroughly otherwise the damp undercoat underneath that you don’t see will still be there. It will magically start flying out when the coat is completely dry down to the skin. Poor drying technique can also result in hot spots caused by humidity & dampness left underneath at skin level. If you pay good money for a de shed you should be able to slide a comb through the coat & visibly see the skin. If it’s a longer coated double coat it should literally be airy & floating after. This is an awesome video on how to do it the right way not only for your dog but also for the cleanliness of your house & salon👍🏻💯‼️

This is great information! I'm in grooming school now (and I'm currently on stripping and shedding). I'm constantly be bombarded with countless amounts of tools you will need for this process and that process, I don't mind investing in the best but I do mind wasting time and money. Your channel helps a lot with understanding, visuals and break downs. Thanks. I appreciate you and what you do. Continue to go beyond. 😊

I used to help my groomer friend on the weekends…. So glad to see she did ALL these steps 🥰 I’ve since moved away from her and my senior shepherd is really showing the shed neglect 😞
Thanks for the great video!

Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou!

My mom's GSD had chronic, life-long shedding, dander, and hot-spot skin and coat issues.

Your education and methods combined with a balanced raw diet absolutely broke the cycle and changed his (and my mom's) life for the better.

Thankyou!

When my Shih Tzu was having a lot of skin allergies and problems my vet suggested that I try using a conditioner and surprisingly the conditioner that she recommended it was by aveeno. I started using this conditioner on all of my dogs and noticed a significant improvement in their skin and coat
