Oh, thank you for this video. Finally someone explained the reason why being born few minutes after midnight, when checked and unchecked the "Local Solar Time" checkbox, I get two very different day masters and element, which was very confusing which one is the correct one. I'm trying to solve this mystery, although I just started learning about BaZi, meaning I don't know that much.. I read a lot of books and most of them don't even use Solar time, since the hours are showing the relative motion and position of the Sun in regards to Earth. As far as I've understood, there is Solar calendar and lunar one, so BaZi chart would be either the one or the other..

Back in the old days the Chinese view the start of the rat hour (11pm) as the new day. Does not make logic sense to use midnight as the start of the new day as Bazi is a Chinese method.
