how to stretch hatch In AutoCAD.
Hatches can be stretched either by using it's grips (and so the grip-stretch function) or - as long as the hatch is associative - by stretching the geometry that builds the borders for the hatch.
If the hatch is not associative any more and you don't like to use the grips you will have to recreate a border geometry: either use right-click and "Create Boundary" in the context menu or use "Hatch Edit" in the context menu to get the dialog, also there is a button for recreating the boundary. Please don't forget to answer the question "Reassociate the hatch with the new boundary" with "Yes" 😉
HPASSOC (System Variable)
Controls whether hatches and fills are associative.
Type:IntegerSaved in:RegistryInitial value:1
Value
Description
0
Hatches and fills are not associated with their defining boundary objects
1
Hatches and fills are associated with their defining boundary objects and are updated when the boundary objects change.
