Unfortunately, reality of economics and growth erases primordial ethnic sentiments in any metropolis. I am Yoruba, originally, from Ogun State, resident primarily in Lagos. If I keep hampering on my tribe and snetiments as host, I miss the larger picture of economic growth driven by a free market. I would like to compete on an equal and fair footing with any Hausa, Ibibio, Calabar, Igbo, Igbira or any other yoruba man for acqusition of property, jobs, business market, political positions etc. today, many are whining over other Nigerian tribes in Lagos. What would they do or say when huge foreign investments begin to flow in after fx deregulation? Shall we then sstart moaning and whining that Oyinbo is taking over Yoruba land? Let's get prepared for the reality of the FUTURE!
