In ontario the further north you go the more dangerous those 2 lane country highways get. For one because of moose, bears, deer. But mostly its because they're pretty much all 80 or 90km speed limits and the locals want to bomb down them doing about 115 regardless of conditions...

This channel is going to be a lifesaver. Im moving back to the States and need to learn how to drive as soon as I can. I got a question, do you have advice on how to get started when I dont have any family or friends to teach me? I doubt anyone will want to teach me with their own car and I dont blame em. But I dont know how to learn without owning my own car. Dont know if that makes sense.

Back in 2019 I nearly had a head-on collision on the David Thompson highway near Abraham Lake. Was heading back to campsite with my friends after a nice hike and coming around a bend which from my perspective was going slightly to the left, a vehicle in the opposite lane strayed into my lane.

Fortunately the highway shoulder was reasonably wide so I had room to try to evade them and they realized their mistake just in time to avoid hitting us as well. I assume they were busy gawking at the mountains instead of trying to drive safely.
