It was a win win for both teams but until the lions win a sb, the rams win this trade

When you win a Super Bowl with the guy you traded for, you didn’t lose the trade. It’s a 50/50. Lions wanted a fresh start, rams wanted a ring. And they both got what they wanted

I think most rational lions and rams fans would realize it was a win win. Both teams got what they desired and if the Lions win a Super Bowl this could go down as the best trade for both sides in NFL history

Its hard to say the Rams lost with a ring...
But the Lions just let Brad Holmes do Brad Holmes things.

I’m a rams fan, so of course I’m going to say us, but truly it was a win-win for both teams. They both achieved what they hoped. Stafford wanted to leave Detroit so it worked out best for Detroit to get something good for him. And really it has bonded the two fan bases. I’ll cheer for Lions (unless they are playing Rams), and I know lots of Detroit fans who root on the Rams due to Stafford!

Some trades are a W for both teams. At times teams are looking for different things. As a football fan from Michigan I was very happy to see Staff get a ring

As a Lions fan it was bitter sweet seeing Stafford go but he needed a chance on a real team. I love the story if Goff gets us to a Superbowl and I gotta say year 3 of this rebuild we are looking damn good. Goff has my respect, he's quite, no drama, always praises his guys around him and takes ownership of his mistakes. Brad is a damn wizard and MCDC has these men running through walls for him and each other..LETS GO!!!

Win Win. The Rams bought their ring and the Lions are building a very competitive football team that hopefully sticks around a long time.

Our 0-16 season keeps paying dividends.

Win-Win. When people say "Oh well the Rams won a Super Bowl out of this so they won" keep in mind it's not like the Lions would've won that Super Bowl had they kept Stafford. That trade needed to happen for Detroit

I got to see Stafford get his ring, so I'm happy either way.

The goal in the NFL is to win championships. A championship is never guaranteed, even after a blockbuster trade or great draft. Any GM would take a super bowl, even if it meant some down years. The alternative is potential, but no guarantees.

Staffords completion percentage WAS NOT 57% in 2021. It was 67.2 and 70% in the playoffs. You should correct that.

One of the rare trades that will go down in history as a true win for both sides. Stafford and the Rams got their ring. A ring is an automatic win. The lions set themselves up to rule the north for a long time and I can definitely see them getting their own ring out of this trade.

We got puka Nacua to pair with Cooper Kupp and Kyren Williams. The future is far from murky for the rams.

People complained about Stafford too. And now they do the same about Goff. No one is ever happy. I’m glad for Stafford. I’m even more happy for us Lions cat’s.

I was just thinking about that the other day almost all of our non offensive line starters came from the Stafford trade. Pretty insane. Especially since no one wanted Jared Goff when it happened and they were bitching about his ridiculous contract which looks pretty team friendly nowadays after Deshaun Watson got paid.

Well, we got that playoff push, won the North, and almost had second seed until the refs screwed us. But looks like we might be playing the Rams, Stafford Vs. Goff at Ford field! This will be insane to say the least. The city will probably riot if we lose though. Going to be a crazy playoff year I can feel it. I think the Ravens might actually play good and make it all the way, not sure yet who in the NFC will make it all the way but if the Ravens make it, I feel for whoever has to play them.

The trade was actually- Stafford for multiple high draft picks and McVay threw in Goff. Mcvay needs to be thanked by all Lions fans as he built the lions foundation. Mcvay has ensured that the lions will be a force for the next decade. Mcvay was so unselfish as that 2022 team was built were Goff would of won that Superbowl as well. Thank You McVay
