How to Enable Autosave in Microsoft Excel.

Crashes happen. The power goes out. And sometimes, people accidentally close a file without saving.

To avoid losing your work when the unexpected happens, save your files to OneDrive or SharePoint and use AutoSave to save your changes in real-time. This feature is only available if you have an Office 365 subscription. If you are an Office 365 subscriber, make sure you have the latest version of Office.

For files not stored on OneDrive or SharePoint, or if you are not an Office 365 subscriber, make sure AutoRecover is turned on using the directions.

I am trying to use some conditional formating rules on some sheets. The problem is it wont allow auto save with macros. What file type can I save as that supports auto save with the macros?🤔

Every time I press auto save from icon on top left corner, a box comes up wanting me to save to One Drive. How do I get rid of that.

I had all of these checked but somehow my recent data has disappeared and there are no recovery files. I had the file stored on OneDrive. I am going to revert to storing it on my hard drive and only uploading a copy with a date stamp to One Drive. Very annoying. Thank you for the video.

Is the function applicable to a particular file only?
I do not want all my files to save automatically all the time.

I don't want an autorecover file, I want it to save my changes directly in the file...
