Very helpful review for someone undecided about the Ryker or Spyder. Heard one shorter rider say it felt like riding on top of a hippo on the Spyder RT. The Spyder F3 with all its adjustability would be better for shorter riders. We had a Spyder RT for 5 years and loved it riding 2 up. Too bad you didn’t get to test it on the freeway as that is where it really shines. Stable as a rock at high speed, tracks straight as an arrow with none of the Ryker dartiness. Also the cruise control keeps your right wrist from getting tired. Ours had heated grips and seats for cold weather. However when I test drove a Ryker it had a more playful fun factor. Glad you are sticking with yours as we would miss you.

Nice video Ms. Beth. When Can-AM first came out with the Spyder, i really wanted one. Never really looked into it. Fast forward today, Can -AM came out with the Ryker. I thought the Spyders were discontinued and this was a newer version. Lol. I always liked the three wheel concept and since i owned a street bike felt it was more stable and easier to ride. I did finally purchase a 2020 Ryker Rally here in Houston, Tx and i love it. I have to admit i like the new f3 models, but it was out of my price range. Im glad i bought the ryker. No regrets.

I live in Reidsville Georgia and I have a can am Ryker. I love it. I am 51 years old my kids are grown and gone and my husband has a motorcycle which I use to ride on with him. Now I ride my Ryker. If anyone is close to us and wants to ride let us know.

By adding utility and comfort upgrades to my Ryker I have the trike I love and enjoy at way less cost. I blame you for putting too many upgrade ideas in my head! Thanks for the great video Beth!

Any dealer that does not allow test ride with proof of insurance and motorcycle license does not deserve to be a dealer, I would never purchase from them.

I love your channel!

I have a 2020 Ryker Rally and tried a Spyder F3 S for a weekend.... It takes every complaint you had about your model and erases it for you. It is a hybrid combination a Rally & Spyder. Adjustable foot and break, etc etc. Awesome machine!

Way way way more premium and better machine, IMO. I will be selling and upgrading shortly!

Hey lady! So I drove the F4, brand spanking new and I put the first 4 miles on it and I hated it. It's a great ride for what it is but my Ryker and I fit like a glove. I'm not much taller than you are and I felt lost on it. Sitting on top instead of being a part of the bike sitting IN it made a world of difference. The power steering is great but I felt like I was riding it and not driving it as compared to my 19 Rally. I'm glad I'm not the only one who felt like this. Thanks for making me feel better about my preferring the Ryker over it's big brother Spyder! Keep this great content comin' wind sister!

You need to try the base F3. You will sit a bit lower. Would love to see that comparison vs Riker.

That same truck will be near me in March and yes, I have signed up. Also, I took the Can-Am 3 Wheel riders course last year. Maybe one day you will want a bigger Can-Am. I would suggest the F3 because it has the U-Fit system that can be customized to any size ryder.

I went on a Spyder demo ride, & I came away with the same feelings; a Spyder you’re riding on it, BUT a Ryker, you’re riding in it. I’m glad I found out for myself the differences, & would consider getting a Shoer one day for the comfort of long trips due to a spine issue, BUT until then, I’m “Ryker” all the way, baby!!!

I am 5’2” and own a 2021 Spyder RT. I love it!!! I have NO problem reaching the break pedal.

Great video. I'm with you, it's the Ryker for me. FYI, the F3 feels like you are sitting on top like the RT.

Hey Beth - I totally agree with the others that you skipped right over the F3/F3S to the RT. I’m 6’1 and the seating position of an RT was like riding on top of it instead of in it. With the adjustable legs on the F3 can give you a whole “cruiser” like position. You’re going to eventually want to go further places with your machine and the Ryker won’t give that comfortable feeling long distance. F3-S is definitely the way to go! 😊

So Shorty Beth what you need do to achieve a good riding position is take a block of wood or metal and attach it to the brake pad and that way you achieve what your aims are to enjoy the Spyder to it fullest capacity.
Still in two minds whether or not to buy an F3 here in the UK as my eyes are progressing backwards to blindness and need an operation to counter-act that. But if and when they do give me the go ahead, dammed right I'm buying a Spyder F3 as its reckoned to be the best there is.

Great vid. I have. 2020 Spyder RTL & am height challenged. The 1st mods I did were 2 inch extensions on the brake pedal & handlebar. Solved all the issues you mentioned. Also in eco mode, the bike tells you when to upshift. Ride safe!

Beth, I love your honest, informative take on these bikes. I don’t think you mentioned the fact that although you don’t HAVE to downshift, you CAN if you want to. Before buying my ‘22 RTL, I had the opportunity to check out a Sea to Sky. I found that the somewhat plusher seat on the S2S put me up higher than I was comfortable with. My only gripes with my RTL in my 2100+ miles of riding so far is how laggy the throttle response is (Pedal Box, anyone?) and how flimsy the “Tupperware” is on these things. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the F3….

If you test the Spyder F3 you can get the brake adjusted to be perfect. I’m short and got it in the optimal spot to make a very comfortable ride.

I'm vertically challenged too at 5'6". Lamonster garage does make a 1.5" billet aluminum brake pedal riser for the RT that would help out quite a bit for shorter riders. Looks factory too. The RT and F3 are definitely different beasts than the Ryker. I had ridden both before and wasn't really keen on them and knew I wasn't getting on any more 2 wheelers with my physical handicaps. I didn't see them as even an option for me. So when the Ryker came out and I was able to try it, it was love at first ryde. I will say, the 20-21 RT's are much improved over previous years. Thinking about one down the road. Great video Beth

I used to live in Margate, so I enjoyed the tour. Thank you for the info.

You would enjoy the F3-T model because, like the guy said you can adjust the brake pedal and floorboards back to where you feel comfortable. The other nice thing about the RT and the F3 is you can pull a trailer without voiding your warranty.
