Thanks for making this video. I recently did the hs-2 in the neck and bridge in single mode. You saved me the time of going down the rabbit hole to determine that it sounds better wired as a single. Thanks!

FYI The HS-2 is not wound with identical coils to my knowledge, meaning; it will not benefit from parallel wiring, it is actually less output in serial mode than singlecoil, Eric Johnson prefers single coil mode, for at hotter sound. The bottom coil doesn't work for output, it is not affected by the magnets, it is only there for the humcancelling.

I’m a fan of the Seymour Duncan Antiquity II bridge pickup if you want to try something more traditional. It’s a traditional single coil but it’s quite a bit hotter than a normal Strat pickup so it has more body to it.

Fralin sp42 is what you want for your strat

To my ears, didn't matter how you wired it, it didn't have that single coil tone. It can't be helped; IT'S A HUMBUCKER. If you have settled on Dimarzios, try either a FS-1 or Red Velvet in the bridge.

I dont understand the wiring, i want to wire my pickups as single coils. So if i am right i connect the red = hot and black = ground, white and green left alone ( not together? )

And for the middle pickup i have to wire it as reverse polarity, so black = hot and red = ground ?
