The songs around minute 8:30 remind me of a cumbia but the fast salsa after is a Perez Prado mambo. It was super popular in the 1950 in Mexico and beyond. It is almost double time the speed of salsa. I think it had a completely different dance back then. To me, it's almost like a merengue speed now days. I was in Cali years ago. Glad you all are enjoying!
