A little advice from a 68 year old retired plumber. Do the caulking last. You're welcome.

I don't know if this is highly edited, but I am having the hardest time putting the tank on the back! The bolts don't seem to clear the holes to thread the nuts onto the bolts and seat properly. Just rocks like crazy.

The Memoirs Stately is a bit different. It looks like you screw it down instead of bolt/nut up. Have a wobble and was going to replace the bolts or tighten it down and I saw it.

Yes, the wax ring that was included with my new Kohler toilet did contain the necessary hardware: flange bolts, retainer washers, base washers, nuts, and bolt cover caps. However, I was still missing hardware!

I had everything needed to install the bowl to the flange, and the seat to the bowl, yet there was absolutely nothing to attach the tank to the bowl besides the rubber gasket, and bolts that were already in place at the bottom of the tank. I had no washers, and no nuts for the tank.

It never ceases to completely bewilder me how such a large, successful corporation can make such mistakes! Such a simple oversight that could have been easily avoided had some employee been performing their job as expected, or in other words, as they are paid to do.

There are far too many similar examples of people who simply earn too much money, getting paid for a job which they do not perform fully or correctly. Missing a few bolts may be a minor incident in the overall scheme of things, but it is still a inconvenient hassle for the customer who has paid a substantial sum of money for a product which should have all the advertised parts included as the packaging states it does!

It is such a simple mistake, that there really isn't any excuse for it to occur, let alone occur at the frequency which it does! Missing parts? Now, my toilet installation is delayed by however long it takes for me to remedy the issue through the store, or the manufacturer. What if that was the only toilet I have in my abode??? I will likely have to waste more time to return to the store to acquire the pieces which should have been inside of the UNOPENED box to begin with. However, because of some employee who earns more money than they should, I have to waste more of my money by using more gas to drive to and from the store yet again; my vehicle will endure twice the wear and tear upon it than what should have occurred from the acquisition of this product; I will waste more of my time to acquire the necessary parts that I should already have in my possession, precious time which I could have spent earning money instead of wasting time, for time is money; and the stress I will experience will tax my physical, and mental health by dealing with the unnecessary consequences of some employee who is being paid too much money!

It's not as difficult to ensure everything is included in the box as it is for some employee at McDonald's to fulfill your order promptly, and with accuracy. Regardless, even McDonald's employees seem to fail at performing their jobs at such a high rate of frequency that I believe they fail more often than they actually manage to succeed when it comes to fulfilling a customer's order correctly. They have at minimum two screens informing them what should be in the order, one at the food preparation area, and one near the cash registers, or the drive-thru window. However, they persistently fail to get the right items in the order. Then, if you have requested any condiments, especially the dipping sauce variety, the rate of failure seems to skyrocket!

Constantly, without fail, I receive Honey Mustard instead of Hot Mustard! I am forced to check over my order, pulling everything out to ensure that all items are there, and then even inspecting the food to make sure it was prepared as requested . . . for special orders because they are being prepared differently than what is standard, and there are far too many auto-pilots flying around the McDonald's airspace ("special orders don't upset us", but they often do upset the customers), in addition to making sure that the non-special orders are prepared as they are supposed to be . . . because sometimes my cheeseburger may have no cheese upon it, regardless that my receipt clearly reads "cheeseburger", meaning their order screens also read "cheeseburger", not to mention that I specifically paid extra for that cheese!

I can't blame the patrons behind me in the drive-thru who grow impatient, and even resort to honking at me sometimes, but I have been left with no choice. If it were just me, I would simply boycott any restaurant that is incompetent at fulfilling their customers orders correctly, which is the one thing that McDonald's employees apparently excel at achieving! Nevertheless, I have a girlfriend, and she has a young daughter, and sometimes she requests that I go acquire food at said establishment because she is often preoccupied, typically with work. So, to maintain the peace, off I go to appease everyone, and I shuffle down to that little Irish restaurant to receive another annoying dose of awful customer service. I mean, come on!!!! These clowns who don't even really want to be working there in the first place, and who are being paid more money than what they would actually earn, but now, they are getting paid $15 per hour!!! They should be rocking that job, but if anything, their performance has only appeared to have declined. There are far too many "workers" in this economy who are being paid far too much money for their "work"!

Truly appreciated the video I purchased the elongated K4436 tank. Why the hole in back of tank -- should it be braced on the wall for support??

Thxs for this demo. When installing on a tiled floor, if the flange is below the tile, what's the best way to seal?? The wax ring provided is to small to fit and I bought another thicker one, and it still leaks. Is there a plumber recommended wax ring or other solution? Also, my Kohler tank has 2 bolts that are attached to bottom of tank, not from inside, and it continues to wobble cause can't get enough tighten down. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks

No caulking around the toilet cause you won't be able to see a base leak. Use a no wax seal also.

it is a toilet tank...no need to fancy English
also you should flush the valve by removing the red cap (no brainer)
also it is best to flush toilet by pouring some water in the bowel before you caulk around it to check for water leaks
also you should wait for caulk to dry before you install the water tank
also you turn water shut-off valve slowly so you do not damage any rubber seals/washers inside the flush valve
many alsos
learn first then upload

How was it installing the 3 bolts? I’m having difficulty installing these to where they seem flush.

Is this the Cimarron with Revolution 360 Flush toilet? I just bought one, and the Home Depot guy said that this toilet is powerful enough to flush down golf balls (HA!) ...
