Показать описание
Mercedes-Benz is advancing both performance and sustainability with the launch of the new AMG E-Class "53" series. This marks a significant move in the electrification of luxury cars. The new series, available in sedan and wagon styles, reflects the brand's focus on merging high performance with eco-friendly tech.
The new AMG E53 doesn't sacrifice power despite its electrified features. It keeps the strong inline-six engine, now a 3.0-liter turbocharged unit producing 443 horsepower, up from the previous 429 hp. This engine pairs with an electric motor adding another 161 hp, making the total output 577 hp. With Race Start, Mercedes' launch control system, this can temporarily boost to 603 hp, with a remarkable torque of 553 lb-ft, significantly more than the previous 384 lb-ft.
The AMG E53 accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.8 seconds for the sedan and 3.9 seconds for the wagon, with both capped at 155 mph. The optional AMG Driver's Package can push these limits to 174 mph for the sedan and 171 mph for the wagon. Additionally, using electric power alone, the E53 models can hit speeds up to 87 mph.
The vehicle features a plug-in hybrid system with a 21.22 kWh battery pack, promising over 62 miles of electric range per the WLTP cycle. This system works smoothly with a nine-speed automatic transmission, ensuring no space is wasted and performance remains top-notch.
The AMG E53 stands out with a stiffer body, bigger brakes, and standard rear-wheel steering. The adaptive suspension with variable damping, combined with a fully variable AWD system, ensures a thrilling yet controlled ride. Design highlights include wider front fenders, an illuminated grille, and quad exhaust tips, all adding to its sporty look.
As the auto industry changes, Mercedes-Benz leads with innovations offering both exciting performance and environmental care. The AMG E-Class "53" series demonstrates this commitment, setting new benchmarks for luxury electrified cars.
