Don't discard version 1 of the Canon 24mm TS-E 24mm f/3.5 L. You can find this lens in excellent condition for around $400 now while version 2 still costs more than three times as much.

I was impressed to hear that samyang was so sharp - I’m very satisfied with the Canon sharpness so the samyang must be extemely sharp :)

In combination with the Canon 24mm and 17mm the Rogetti adapter is Awesome to make much easier movement and Perfect stichable files since you only move the Camera body while the lens is fixed
making it possible for an perfect up 251% larger end file!!!
Also with the New RF adapter with drop in filter option you can use nd filter on the back of the 17mm - you should not you variable nd but fixed value drop in nd filter if you go for this options. With variable you will see uneven darkening of only parts of the image when turning.

Finalaly if you can use NiSi adapter and their huge glass filter for 17mm when your not working on RF Camera - the quality is outstanding on those filters and setup looks Awesome and does create attention if you like the tech questions circus from outsiders - but it is slow and bulky to work with :)

Last but not least do not save money on the tripod and preferably use a geared head with three knobs - you will save so much time in the long run with these lenses and add-on’s

Thanks a lot. Fantastic video. Good job. I hadn't thought about using a 1.4X on my 17mm.

Hi Vadim! First of all, Thank you! Thank you for your work, thank you for your test, thank you for all of your advices. I was looking for the best setup for my architectural photography and your video help me a lot. I was looking for a setup that isn't too expensive (I 'm newbie in the business), simple to use with quality and nice to travel with. Complicated isn't it? So after looking at your video, I get exactly your setup because it combine all of my expectation and save me a lot of money. So thank you, I really apreciated your advice. And for who ask, if the extender work with the canon adapter EF to RF: I say, yes sir, it completly works well.

Hello,
thanks for an interesting and clever review.
The link to the raw files seems dead, any possibility to get the raw files please? Thank you!

Thank you for this video. The 17mm with extender is a very interesting option. Have you tried the 1.4x of 2x extender on the 24mm lens and how does it impact image quality?

Very useful review, this is my first time of knowing that Extender 1.4x can be used on the Canon 17mm TS-E lens (I only think that it could only be used for Tele-photos lenses). However, for your understanding, does this Extender 1.4x can be used at Canon 50mm TS-E lens (complete functionality should be including the BUILT-IN tilt-shift-swing movement) ?

Thanks for the review - I have the Samyang - I've been using it with maximum shift and there's noticeable barrel distortion - I could try using less shift (which would reduce the lens's usefulness) - do you or anyone else have experience with this lens in terms of using less shift - so as to reduce barrel distortion ? As I say, it somewhat reduces the lens usefulness - one would like to be able to use the lens to its maximum (and advertised) capabilities - yes - it is considerably cheaper than the Canon - but it is not a "cheap lens" if you know what I mean.

Canons 17 and 24 as well as the new 50, 90 and 135 (introduced 2017) can rotate tilt and shift independently. What about the Samyang? Can it also rotate t&s independently?
