Physics is the description of reality, however math is the most convenient way of expressing everything. Physics is not math as math is not constrained by interpretations. Physics is the interpretations of what the math means.

Math is just a language that somehow is universal, that's why we sent multiple golden disks the Voyager satellites that are traveling outside our solar system with equasions to both pinpoint us and the instructions on how to use the said disk.
