Just found out an Ascot is a kind of Cravat, because a Cravat is any cloth tied around the neck, so Ascots, Neck Ties, Bow Ties, Scarves, etc are in fact Cravats

Fun fact cravats were made by the Croatians to hold up their colars and when they were helping the french in wars the french coppied them because the King would march with them and cravats got their name from the Croatians as well

That ribbon looks more like the bow ties (literally a ribbon tied in a bow where a tie would be) that we had to wear as part of our uniform when I was in private school in the 90s.
