Excelent review. In Brazil the worst battery is Duracell since they leak frequently. Best regards, Mário.

The AA and AAA 10-packs have been on sale at IKEA for the past several months for only $1.79 per pack. Insane value at only 18¢ per battery.

I always choose Energizer Lithium because of the 20+ year shelf life

The green part matters for the high drain devices I use. Optimum is pretty good then. Expensive when bought from a store at full price around $2+ each. But you can find these cheap for about 70 cents each online.

Can disclose the equipment used for these battery tests? Also, great job. This is the best battery test I have seen so far.

Great video. I've always gotten Duracell because that's what we always got, but was less than impressed when I tried out the optimum. Guess I might be switching to Energizer. Is there much reason to test rechargeable batteries in this way?

The Panasonic Alkaline batteries are the best. They don't leak, I've had issues in the past with Energizer batteries leaking on me. Recently I've had allot of problems with Duracell batteries leaking like crazy. I'd say one out of four would start to leak on me. I'm not even using them in anything with a crazy amp draw. Just some cheap LED flashlights and the remotes on my RC cars and a few radios and CD players.

I've been happy using acdelco max power in the 48 packs. The price is great on Amazon. I don't put them in high drain devices though.

Rayovac should give you money. I’m buying my first ones tomorrow.

Id like to see how Duracell Procell & Procell Intense compare, they're supposed to be about half a volt or so higher charged than the typical Duracell battery. They're a little harder to find and are supposed to be used for commercial/industrial applications.

Nice video! Rayovac is a great value initially but I always have a problem with their shelf life. Every time I go to get a battery, I have to throw away 2 or 3 because they've exploded. I've purchased them 3 times and it always happens.

You don't know my coast so just the performance is all that matters. What if # *.* was on sale ?

I am a live stage sound engineer. My world collapsed. I used Ikea alkaline on the job for a lot of years. rechargeable are a pain in the ass because you have to recharge them before each job, even if they are not empty. Rechargeable are just very labor intense and way LESS reliable. Ikea alkaline was by far the best 'high power drainage' battery and extreme low priced. Now I have to start my search all over again. The test here did not use high drainage equipment which is a pity. Thanks for the video anyway. I can use it as a start point.
