Here is an interesting fact I heard of questionable validity. The Romani originally settled in a place near to Rome where there were three hills that looked like pyramids. This was the origin of the term "Gypsy" as in Egypt. Here is the actually research response: "The English exonym Gypsy (or Gipsy) originates from the Middle English gypcian, short for Egipcien. The Spanish term Gitano and French Gitan have similar etymologies. They are ultimately derived from the Greek Αιγύπτιοι (Aigyptioi), meaning "Egyptian", via Latin" In the 16th century, t i was originally believed that that the Gypsies originate din Egypt. (Pharaonic wealth?)

They're from native india and only came to Romania and europe a few hundred years ago, they have a bad rep back home but when the communists tossed me off a bridge no Romanian came to get me, half hour later or so the last man on bridge went into the water and got me and he was a gypsy, God bless the man. p.s nobody walks around with up to 17 pounds of gold on them in Romania you sick individual. 😂😂😂 (Grew up there had thousands of days out there on my own before I got here and saw gold teeth but that's about it, also lived there few months in '09 and a couple of years in '11-'13 and went to almost every major "city" and have never seen anything close, you know what 17 pounds of metal feels like?)😂😂
