You can, but I'd argue unless you have like, 100 engrams I'd rather just grind activities or wait until we can focus them.

Doing it this method, means you have a 1 out of 8 chance to get the weapon you want alone, and in that 1/8 chance you also have a 1/4 chance to get a red border of that weapon.

it's more efficient to open the engrams without focusing

You can also get them from just doing the single engram at her main screen. It adds the armor ofc but honestly better than the 2 it costs per try overall.
