I'd be genuinely devestated. I can't imagine how worrying that'd be. Did the guy who post it ever talk about it when he found out he lived?

The craziest part is that the whale wasn't even trying to hurt him, it's just so powerful that even a casual breech almost ended this man's life.

The fact there’s two separate angles of this event. Also, I feel really bad for the guy on land. Imagine seeing that and seeing someone get pummeled, not seeing them come back up and not knowing if they’re okay or not.

We have humpbacks on the Vancouver island coastline and they are amazing and social creatures. They MUG boats sometimes playing with them soadhing the occupants spyhopping within inches of the boat breaching right next and waving their fins continually

In BC it is illegal to run within 200 meters of the whales so if you are being mugged you have to shut your power down and drift until the whales tire and leave. But what a special treat.
