Im a regressor. If my headphones disconnect I panic, because I dont want to annoy people with my video. Regressing doesnt make you irresponsible or a nuisance, thats a choice

It’s only older people that do this. I’ve never met someone my age (22) that does it. Idk if people just lose common courtesy when they age or if they were raised like that

My parents could not be more differnet in this sense and it’s himarious. My mother, like me, feels emmense embarrassment and we don’t like it when our sound disconnects or is out loud. My father on the other hand, will sit anywhere and scroll. Not with full volume, but enough to think “what’s the point of having the sound on at all?” It’s odd

Istg my siblings do this, I don't think they do it in public but certainly at home and I'm like- are you deaf? TURN YOUR VOLUME DOWN! same with my mum! AND they have their tvs turned up so much, it hurts my ears- I usually have my volume pretty low on all devices, my phone's volume is just below the speaker icon usually (iphone) expect for when I'm using it for sleep music, then it's just above being completely off, my tv is usually 20-25 volume and my computer is usually pretty low too, although I can't tell you how low because my pc volume is 100% but my speaker is what I use to control the volume, so it's not actually as loud as 100% should be and then usually youtube volume is half way or lower on pc. I hate invading everyone else's space with my noise, I am always tryin' to make sure my family doesn't hear what I'm watching or listening to from my room.
