Scariest thing I ever seen was seeing shadows in the corner of my eye

The creepiest thing that ever happened to me was when I was younger and first started seeing ghosts and experiencing the paranormal. I used to wake up to an old lady humming and standing in the corner of my bedroom. My room was pitch black except for any light coming in from through my window. I would close my eyes and she would slowly turn around and move towards my bed. I would sit up and scoot my body back towards the head of my bed and she would continue to move closer. Some nights she was along side my bed or leaning over me and was right by my face. And during those times I would wake from being asleep and she was right there or touching my hair. This continued for weeks before it finally stopped. Some nights I never fell asleep because it scared me so bad or I'd leave lights on.
