This is my 2nd movie from 2017 to receive a 10/10 from me. I thought it will be a generic sci fi survival horror/thriller.

Pros : Great Build Up, Twists and Suspense, Acting, Keeps you at the edge of the seat

Cons : Only flaw I had was the lack of character development of some characters.

I thought it was pretty good!.. very unique and fashionable!... in a class of it's own!..and a little better although similar to Prometheus! I'd give it a 7...mainly because of the ruthlessness of the alien!

I like how everyone thinks the black guy dies first, while the trailer just puts everyone on the wrong foot. Good trailer material right there

Alien doesn't have a lead character either. In retrospect, yes, but at the time, both Tom Skerritt and John Hurt were the presumed leads for audiences- Weaver was an unknown. Watching the masterpiece now you notice Ripley blends into the rest of the cast and onyl develops as the protagonist as the other cast members get killed off.

Scott and O'Bannon said they wrote it this exact way- with no clear lead character, making everybody the Aliens potential victim. Alien did, in fact, do another thing this movie takes inspiration from.

Maybe this movie just wasn't for me. There happened literally nothing poisitive in the whole movie, besides i didn't feel very good after seeing the death of Ryan Reynolds and that black guy, because you can't just turn off the screen in a cinema. The movie was stuck in a space station, and the ending made me so depressed. The ending was something new and scary, but still too much for me.

The ending was by far one of the best plot twists I've ever seen, they slightly cheated themselves into it but it worked well.
