This is such an informative video. You’ve got a subscriber here. Waiting for the preset editor video now.

Great video. I've had the oxygen pro mini for a while now and overall a great controller, however the default DAW and preset settings are terrible. of course you can customise everything, which is a huge bonus and exactly what Ive done - remapped the whole controller as the factory settings are not
intuitive. The Preset editor also needs more work, there are certain things you cannot modify and can only modify directly on the controller. hopefully some of this will be improved with future software and firmware releases.

I dont think the clicky on the pitch wheel is a hardware "issue", I'm pretty sure its a feature. A tactile response to let you know where the center point is.

Great video. I was choosing between mpk mini and mini plus, but they either lacked keys or were too expensive. I think I'll go with this

yo wazap! awesome review! I just got mine the other day and it is very awesome. have the same experience with the pitch bend - there is a click when you hit the center. Nevertheless, I really love this controller so far!

I have pre-ordered this keyboard since 2019 right before the Pandemic hits and and now stores are still out of stock.

Hello! To connect to iPad, do you need a power supply (apart from CCKit 🙂) is it compatible with iOS system? Thank you

Great tutorial! Subbed❤
Question, can the pads send midi via a different midi channel than the keys? For example have the keys be on midi channel 1 and pads on midi channel 10. Thanks 🙏

Good job mate. But like you rightly suggested, the pitch bend wheel click is limited to your controller in this situation as mine doesn't do that.

If you need to use the pads, beware.
Their accuracy is nowhere near the Akai MPK mini series. I just got the Oxygen and already thinking of getting rid of it because the pads do not trigger with short touches at any velocity.
Need to keep the finger on longer for them to work which eliminates the possibility to play faster rhythms/fingerdrumming.

Can you change midi channels for keys and pads quickly on the fly, rather than setting up a new user preset that has the channels mapped?

Can you make a video explaining how to split the oxygen pro 61 please

Very nice. I wasn't looking for a new mini controller, but now you've got me thinking of this for just $159Cdn. I have the original Akai MPK-Mini and Arturia MiniLAB and prefer the MPK-Mini.

Two definite pros for me: 1) rear connections! I hate the side connections on the MPK-Mini and MiniLAB. 2) MIDI out for sound modules. I rarely use a DAW, and the MPK-Mini and MiniLAB are USB only, so I rarely used the controllers. I use a MPK-61 for hardware synths instead of an intermediate DAW, but not very portable. :-)

A little disappointed that preset mode for controlling sound modules via MIDI only has two banks, vs. eight for DAW. Considering there are only 4 faders & 4 knobs, I would have liked four banks for non-DAW. But, the MIDI out is a big plus over my MPK-Mini and MiniLAB and I'd actually use this controller.

thanks. I connected it on the iPad for some fun apps . . but how you set oxygen to fixed velocity?

Hello DSoundman. I've noticed that the keyboard does not have a DAW configuration for Cakewalk by Bandlab. Is there a way to configure the keyboard for Cakewalk? Thanks for the video, I still learned a lot from it. Cheers.
