[ENG] Medieval times are the past... Akademia Szermierzy is starting to make thrillers. Politics, betrayal, shootouts, and amidst it all, a man fighting with a brutal fate like a sailor in the eye of a cyclone...

A brief background on how "The Game" came to be. Some time ago, Adam joined our personal training sessions. He had no athletic background, but he made up for it with tremendous enthusiasm. Besides fencing, he was passionate about cinema. So, the direction of development was obvious - choreography. After a few months of training, we decided to meet in the woods and record a short fight. Rafał Kalus agreed to help us as a cameraman. But on the day of shooting, a few more ideas popped into our heads... And then a few more...

"The Game" is our Hyde Park, where we spiced up the prepared choreography with a completely spontaneous script. We had too much fun during the recordings not to publish it on this special day :)

[PL] Średniowiecze to przeszłość... Akademia Szermierzy zaczyna robić thrillery. Polityka, zdrada, strzelaniny, a w tym wszystkim człowiek, walczący z brutalnym losem niczym marynarz w oku cyklonu...

Krótkie tło jak powstał „The Game”. Jakiś czas temu na nasze treningi personalne trafił Adam. Nie miał przygotowania sportowego, ale nadrabiał ogromnym zapałem. Poza szermierką pasjonowało go kino. A potem jeszcze kilka...

„The Game” to nasz hyde park, gdzie przygotowaną choreografię doprawiliśmy całkowicie spontanicznym scenariuszem. Zbyt dobrze bawiliśmy się podczas nagrań, żeby nie opublikować tego w ten szczególny dzień :)

Haha, that was awesome.
The suction cup arrow to the head was hilarious.

Cheers!

Oh how I loved the detail of the suction cup arrow mark on his forehead just before the sword fighting began (05:16)! ❤

Excellent! You guys make a comedy with better fight scenes than a Hollywood action movie. I hope you had as much fun making this as I had watching.

Love it! Also you went all the way. Respect. Twirls and whirls motions, spinning attacks, dual wielding, dual spinning, reverse grip. It's 10/10, and I <3 it

A some long video with fencing movements(counterattacks, counter parries, disarmings and sweeps using weapon)
At slow motion would be greeted.
Too, another one with medieval bare hands fighting.
By the other hand I have seen the fencers appears in medieval wear, what is great, but seeing movement in armor (chain mail vs plated with same weapon for seeing diferences) too would be well. As ways for win armor opponent weaknesses or key parts (attacking in edge or last lenght of sword at armor joints, or smashing at middle plate piece with smashing weapon (battle hammer or mace or flail) for crushing bones with impact.
Or attacks to body joints on front and behind (axile/ingles, wrist/anklets, elbow/knees ) you know, for cutting tendoms damaging the arc movements or provoking falling of weapon, blinding you by blood falling because a cut on eyebrows, doing "the six cuts" dobe at face as I saw in a fencing manual,
♦✴✴or even ways of disarming a shield from his user. Much videos show disarmings sword vs sword.
But how are disarmings sword vs hammer or mace, or versus lance or halberd?.
I know you practice only fencing but a tutorial video with battle injures and comsecuencies at battle and effects on person life once he has survived could be ashtonising.
Besides, (and I know this is not your purpose at this videos but you could upload a link or two) Seeing how was the medieval treatments for that injures, and bed time restings carings. (Or even what herbs or medicines were used)
If not a video, perhaps a link to other video makers of that.
I say this because you can search "medieval medicine" etc at youtube or ibternet but will be appearing "normal cityzens " medicine things.(heal a cold, cough, or stomach problems, etc
Not battle injures healing (cutted tendoms, smashed nerves, pieced bone joint, marrow punctured in stomach or lunge by a hammer impact, festroyed eye by smashing/puncturing, or blood fulled lungs.
Or even metal little pieces of armor or weapon that has entered the wound or are went more deep till entering stomach, or being too near of heart, ...or the efects of an infection resulting from the oxidizing of damaging weapon.
If you are not focused on this kind of things, some links to sites were see this, could be greeted.
And, I know, as fencers you will know other groups that you consider "good at his thing" I will be pleased if you can apport me a couple of links of " really good expert fencers"
Besides I have thinked if there is a "world cup" of fencing...it is this the case?
Who are the fencer/s with most number of first places?
Or... how is the foot/fencing technical movement training ?
You train with heavier weapons in order to be fastest when using real weapon?
Pointing exercises with sword, or types of puncturings (I dont know, perhaps plunged weapon into body, doing a twist for causing internal uggly damages, and retre weapon in a little crossed way for biggering the cut.
In adittion I have only seen one handed weapons, what about two handed? Dane axe, goddendag, or even two handed flail or warhammer.
I have heard blood is cause of oxidizing, hows the best way for cleaning it in ancient times?being sure of no micro rests of blood.
If you know links to this kind if things (mainly youtube links but too one or two from google ).
Besides in case of wooden hafted weapons, wich kind of wood were used, how they cured the wood, barnish it, etc

So basically, a metal pipe is the best weapon.
They should start using it in hema.

A bit unrelated, I would love to join your Patreon, but it seems a bit disorganized, if you made "Collections" titled "Techniques", "Analysis", "Drills", "Workshops" etc. It would be much easier to find things as a Patron and use them rather than having to dig through the entire "Post" section each and every time we need to find something
