Mastodon Pinkpop 2014 Oblivion

Mastodon playing their best song, Oblivion, on Pinkpop festival 2014 in Holland. Brann Dailor's microphone is not working to well, but great nevertheless.

Brann always has the best live drum sound. It's hard to get drums to sound big and heavy without sounding flubby and boomy while still cutting through the mix but not being overpowering. Their engineers definitely know what they're doing. The dudes doing Gojira's sound know what's up too

For anyone commenting on the crowd, they were on the same lineup as Artic Monkeys, John Meyer and Ed Sheeran, so that might explain why everyone was like O_o

The riff underneath the verses is so fkn evil...easily one of the best openers of any album. Can't say enough about Crack the Skye as an album.
