There remains an employment gap between workers with and without disabilities, but Taryn Mackenzie Williams, U.S. assistant secretary of labor for disability employment policy, sees progress.
"I'm really heartened by the trends that I'm seeing in the workforce right now," she says. "I am seeing employers in the private sector, businesses of all sizes embracing talent and specifically embracing talent with disabilities."
