That shows you Rose's honesty and authenticity: the guy could not stand to stay at her place, took her to a fancy hotel pretending it was to take her away from that situation and poverty when really it was all about him being so squeamish around her family's home. Then he showered her with materialistic stuff in hopes that it'd help her gloss over his terrible behaviour and lies while she was actually truthfully trying to bond and get to know him and wanted a nice relationship regardless of his appearance and controlling attitude over her sexual past & health and the way she should present her body and the fact that he kept questioning her honesty throughout while taking her having his bullshit for granted... one lie to many, and to big of lie for sure, she confronted him and he ran from any sort of accountability again and she left the fancy hotel back to her family's home that he found so shitty and would not stay in! She's right: she will find the right person for her, she's a young, grounded, honest young woman and when she settles with someone with whom she can live her dream of having a family where her son will have a place, it'll be with someone who deserves her, loves her back for who she is and not how she looks or how much hair is on her legs when she doesn't shave and will be honest with her, aka someone you can work on a healthy relationship – and a fulfilling one at that – with!
