What i like about Rose in their first meeting is she didn't even criticize him about his feature especially the neck. She knows it would be insensitive if she point it out. Instead, she boost his confidence by saying "you are my king". Also, i don't think she did that for the greencard, rose is pretty and she can replace Ed anytime but look at her, she stayed.
