The Copilot+ PC trend is just starting and its already had a lot of controversy. With features like Recall being...recalled and a lot of Copilot options being online only, I decided to us a CoPilot+ laptop for 30 days as a daily driver so we can discuss battery life, performance and whether or not we can recommend these premium-priced laptops.

they should've skipped AI altogether and just focused on compatibility + performance + battery-life in that order. essentially you're selling a tablet with a built-in keyboard and trackpad, shouldn't be that hard

AI in a nutshell:
"Here's this amazing new feature!!"
"Oh nice, what does it do?"
"...It's cool and new!"

The charging brick temperature alone seems like it should be recalled for safety issues. That's completely unacceptable.

What copilot branding should've enforced: gobs of VRAM.

I'm reminded of The Onion's "MacBook Wheel" clip from a decade ago... "Adoptions rates are uncertain for people who use their machines for ACTUAL work and NOT just dicking around".

I use both wired and Bluetooth. Wired at the computer, a mix of both with my phone on the go.

I want headphone jacks back :( my old shure iems are almost a decade old at this point and still work great. All my bluetooth options I can tell the batteries are getting worse withon a year.

This video seemed to me more like a review of this specific laptop instead of a review about ARM windows laptops

Now that Intel has announced their Lunar Lake chips and PCs are available in a couple more weeks, I don't see any reason to use a Snapdragon based Windows PC. I'm not going to deal with all the incompatibilities. The Lunar Lake laptops will just work with zero worries/issues. And battery life will be the same as Snapdragon but GPU performance will be like triple the Snapdragon.

Intel just obsoleted every Snapdragon PC before they even got started.

Thank you Marquis excellent review.

Windows Fanboy here, straightforward practical critique demonstrating the failures of this ARM beta CPU, marketed and priced as if its top tier.

Everyone so far agrees, transistors are squandered for "AI" clearly there is some future use Apple and MS foresee since they're investing, but for now, AI is throwing transistors in the trash that should go to better GPU and more efficient CPU

Before it was released, Qualcomm's very own benchmarks demonstrated it was a third-tier processor yet everybody waited with bated breath, this generation of x86 is more efficient, more powerful, better "AI' and more powerful, using fewer transistors

There are still creators claiming Qualcomm's ARM is the next step, the future, yada YADA.

X CPUs languish on the work bench in the alpha basement still needing developing, much less "a next step", they're not even beta unless you want a Chromebook.

BTW, there's got to be a defect in that brick, my 100 watt GaN is hardly warm, bring yours to be replaced, there's a short, it's fire hazardous till you replace

Thanks again for this review, spot on.

I bought a Snapdragon laptop last week, had to return it b/c my vpn and box software would not work. Very frustrating as the laptop was actually pretty great. Performance on battery was awesome, actually faster than my Legion 7 with a 13900hx and 4090 in it on battery. Batter life was also a stand out b/c I could get 9-10 hrs of actual use on a single charge. I would still own the laptop if it were not for the software compatibility issues I was having.

Guys are we talking about the laptop or are we actually reviewing CoPilot+?

Gotta give it to you, amazing video! I have criticized your content before for being too 'promo' centric, but I appreciate this video. Im still on the market for a not-so-heavy, 16:10 display with good battery life, not hot to the touch laptop for my personal software (hobby) projects. Zenbook S16 seems to be too thin to handle the heat on the surface so that is sad. Im not sure if I want a 60hz device, there are thinkpads and the proart for that.. Nothing seems really what I want!

I use wired headphones most at my computer most of the time. If I move to a different room or want to watch something while moving around, I switch to Bluetooth.
