Mindfulness expert Toku McCree examines the views of gender roles he grew up exposed to, and how the internalization of society's views of gender impacted him. In a funny and touching recounting of his experiences and unexpected path, Toku shares how his perception of role models eventually changed and evolved.

Toku McCree is a mindfulness expert who helps inspiring people show up at their best selves in every aspect of their lives. After obtaining a degree in philosophy and working as a stage manager for headlining rock bands, he spent over 2.5 years living in a Zen monastery. Ever since he has studied, spoken, and written about mindfulness prolifically. When he's not helping amazing people, he spends his free time lifting heavy things and taking pictures of his cat.

wow, i may be late but this is rly a good talk. i appreciate the speaker’s authenticity which makes him way better than the personas of all the seemingly perfect role models.

I always watch ted talks and I understand I know everything everyone spend years to learn so I asked myself why I am still nothing! Oh maybe .... Yeah I know my problem can't be fixed 😑
