Focusing on quantitative and qualitative findings from her research, Nadine Shaanta Murshid presents information on conducting research on violence in Bangladesh. In this country political violence is omnipresent, while intimate partner violence remains taboo. In her research she makes connections with domestic violence and its impact on psychological trauma, in relation to some of the larger issues like poverty, globalization, and economic policies.
