Research Session: Seeing Peace and Violence in the Women Peace and Security Agenda

In this presentation, Marianna will focus on explaining the development of the method Visual Qualitative Content Analysis and the use of MAXQDA in that process. This is part of her PhD project, in which she explores the politics of (in)visibility in discourses of peace and violence, paying attention to the role of gender, sexuality and coloniality. To do that, the project takes as a framework the Women Peace and Security (WPS) Agenda, a tool crafted in the UN Security Council aimed to mainstream gender in international peace and security.
