Topics discussed in this video include:

1. Alternative Dispute Resolution ("ADR")
2. Demand letters (you do not always need to send them, but in some cases you DO, One example is the California Legal Remedies Act ("CLRA") where you must send an initial "notice of cure" letter, and if not, you may not be able to seek your attorney fees.
4. Jurisdiction and venue:
5. Service of Process
7. Case management statement and CMC (conference)
9. Scheduling conference
13., Counterclaims
16. Discovery (interrogatories, request for admission, request for production of documents)
18. Protective Orders
22. Settlement conference
23. Motion in limine
24. Trial
25. Appeal

This video is general legal information only and not legal advice, In every case you need to also consider your rules of Court, local rules, judge's own rules and other rules that may apply. This is NOT an exclusive list and there are many more things that can pop up in litigation such as law and motion.

Its important to point out: A request for production is only served on the parties of a lawsuit. A subpoena is served on non parties, such as a party's bank.

I've been pro se in 5 civil cases, 1 criminal/citation case, 1 family court case, and 1 probate case. I should have become an attorney 😂😅. This video is everything i had to learn on my own in over 4 years of researching and trail and error. The biggest help to me was videos just like this and also setting in on other cases, as well as downloading many motions, looking at format, and reasonings behind them being filed in similar cases. Excellent video sir! A+

Thank you so much. This video is very helpful. My only concern that if you can add a caption option to your videos so I can read and listen at the same time, This will be better to me because English is my second language. Thanks again.
