Cops are only required to read you the Miranda warning after a rest If they intend to ask you questions about the case against you while you are in custodial arrest. There are a multitude of techniques and strategies that officers can use to get people to talk and incriminate themselves without ever asking a single question. Therefore you could go all the way to court and get convicted without ever being read your rights like happens in TV shows. As always the only way to truly protect yourself is to tell cops that you don't answer questions and that you want to speak to your lawyer... Then keep your big mouth shut. Anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law. At all times. Even if you think you're saying something that is going to help you the officers could twist it against you or misunderstand your intentions and then you get screwed because you go to jail and end up in court on a misunderstanding. The only way to stay safe is to keep your big mouth shut.

There is no such thing as martial artists or professional fighters registering their hands, feet, or bodies in any capacity as lethal weapons. It's nonsense. In the eyes of the law they are held to no different standard than anyone else. And for that matter, in most states there is no such thing as a firearm registry, and certainly no such thing exists federally.
